Our Community
Giving Back...Through GPBLC money is raised for various NPO groups that support women and or children. In 2008 over $500 was donated through our collective efforts to Girls, Inc. through each meeting's fee. Girls Inc empowers girls in the Philadelphia area. (More in About Us page).
Through large annual events GPBLC and CCBLC raise money for education scholarships for women. Scholarships are for classes at West Chester University and paid through the MM Power Scholarship Fund through WCU Foundation.
Education allows anyone to pull themselves forward to be and do more: it is a powerful tool.
Women Only Golf Outing (WOGO!) 2008We celebrated the 1 year anniversary of Chest(h)er County Business Leaders in the Community and raised $1,300 for the M.M. Power Scholarship Fund which gives $1,000 scholarships each semester to a woman majoring in the sciences or business at West Chester University.
WOGO! 2009 was July 10 at Chisel Creek Golf Course, $1000 was given to the MM Power Scholarship fund.
WOGO! 2010 will be July 16 2010.
